hi cook,
it depends in which sector you want to move your career.
for corporate sector MBA is the better qualification, but if you want to shape your career in NGO's then MSW of sociology is good option.
BUT having any of the 3 qualifications you can join any sector depending upon your knowledge , skill and attitude.
so all the best

nowadays i see only these qualifications in job advertisements for many service sectors:
mostly for recruitment n ER, and many other HR jobs,,,,
Graduates / under graduates with experience, Post Graduates strictly dont apply [S**T I wasted 2 yrs in my PG]
and they are paid more than PG,, and other thing is REFERENCE is a very good qualification...

but if you ask any question to either the MBA or MSW or SOCIOLOGY PERSON , there is still doubt which one will answer correctly.... in INDIA quality of education is not that much good, with the exceptions of some IIMS, IITS n some B SCHOOLS which provide good education,, other SCHOOLS just wana mint money, and easily you can have any certificate of any course which you WISH...

Dear Ravi,

As Per My Experience I Did My MIRPM & PG DIPLOMA IN LABOUR STUDIES In 1988 & 1989 simultenously From Nagpur University. Since Then to Till Date I Wokred With many Private Limited , Public Limited, Public Sector And Now Into Worlds Leading MNC In Oil& Gas Sector Overseas.

I Was Mediocre And Very Average Student During Studies But I Never Failed In My Career.I dealt with HR Training,Recruitmetn,Negotiations with Unions, Stikes and Right Form Militency Of Trade Union Or Dealing With Union Mafia faced their Criminal Assults tactical moves where they scared of me. Also worked in many challenging assignments From Recruitment To Training & Development Profile.

According to my Experience, Opportunities build career of individual And Test The Mental Strehgth Of Individual.

I Have No Regreat For Not Studied With Some B-school. Because I Did Almost More Than What One B-school Graudate Excepted In life, except wearing Formal Wear with Tie Knot and talking big big things something like extra territorial entity.

I Worked PSU Public Limited MNC in India, Africa, MiddleEast And Europe.

For me I had many disciples who got trained under my supervision, including graduates from XLRI and TISS they also acknowledge my strength although I was not from socalled B-Schools. I saw their intellectual and knowledge base too and analyse that all Qualifications are at-par initially upto first 5 years while building experience throught working with different profile people gain real strength and exhibits their insight into elevating their career prospects by adding value. This is where all graduates diversed and differentiate even if they are from same school they differ in level of experience. Some Individual Makes That Qualification appears Great achievement by just share luck.

Dear Friends,After go through your points most of all are correct to say the same ans. Mr. CHUM don't be conclud your self. Some one having any doubt we have to give the answer patiently. If any one passed MBA is he mastered in all aspects. As per Factories Act 1947 ,and The A.P. Factories Rules 1950 is concern the State Government has given a specific basic qualifications given for the post of "Welfare Officer" (Now it has changed into Personnel officer, Personnel Manager, and recent Manager-HR etc...) But the concept of the jbodescription is common as far as Manufacturing unit is conern. For the corporate is also the same qualifications may useful. In our Late Prime Minister Sri. Rajive Gandhi said, DON'T COMBINED THE QUALIFICATION RELATION WITH THE JOB. SKILL IS MOST IMPORTANT.Some way it may be correct. In my carriear one of the Company HR head is only B.Com graduate, but he is having vast knowledge on entire job work. He has given more training to various HR personnel working under him.Just completion of MBA is not enough, the knowledge gained in subject and puting it into application is more important.Regards,PBS KUMAR

Dear all,
As my ponint of view, MBA & MSW having specilized in HR is same, doesn't , make any diff. It depends on our knowledge how much we gained during time of study.
MSW is given more concentration on Laws than MBA therefore F.Act contains Welfare Officer in sec-50.
