I have got job offers from Citi Technology Services and Godrej Infotech through a consultant.
Citi is offering me 5.75 lakhs per annum and Gorej is offering 4.5 lakhs per annum.
CTS is located 5 minute from my house and Godrej is located 1 hrs from my house.
Citi joining date is 1 sept and godrej is 15 sept.
My plan is to work for Citi til 14 sept and if i dont feel comfortable in citi i will join Godrej infotech.
But my consultant is forcing me to chose one of these commpanies asap so that he can line up candidates for the other company so that he can get comissions from both companies.
The other problem is that my total exp is 2.8 years but in my resume i have written my total exp as 3 years.
I even had some kts in my engineer and it took me 5 years to finish my engineering.
Both of the employers are unaware of this fact.
Are there any chances of getting caught in background check as i have hidden abt my kts in engineering and work exp(4 months extra)???
Which of the above companies have stringent background check???
Should I go to Godrej and show CTS offer letter and tell them to revise my salary?

Firstly, i dont know which world you are living in..you want to grab it all though its not possible to contain everything....ur consultant is fooling you..he cant get commision from both companies, coz consultants have a contract in which the candidate has to work minimum 30 days, only then their payment or commission is released...you'll join cts and see whether your comfortable? what kind of immature hopscotching is this..In my opinion, CTS is a better company, and afterall its paying you more and saving your travelling time as well...do you really think if you'll show cts offer letter in Godrej, they'll give you a hike? Sorry, i dont think so..companies have fixed salary slabs, they r already offering you what they can afford, i dont think they'll be happy to haggle with you least until you are some hotshot..so you better keep that idea at bay,,coz this way you might just end up losing both opportunities..

If you have finished your Engg in 5 instead of 4 years...how will you manipulate with the degree? if you can then well and good..coz As far as your background check is concerned, i dont have any personal exp with either of these companies..so i think only the person who knows can help u..but take it as obvious, that both will verify work exp atleast coz these days..companies use external agenices for verification..

I think you should join CTS because it is paying hike of that sal godrej is offering you and it is much nearer from your place.And also if you just waste your time in thinking then they will hire someone else. You are telling there position is on urgent basis then why they will wait for you.
Grab that apportunity because i agree that there are ample apportunities in market but there are 'n' numbers of jobseekers also. You will just loose that apportunity in your mind confusion dont do that...
Hope you will agree with my suggession but which i can only give but to take decision is upto you. But take it earliest...

Look buddy…I do not from where you are coming from and how much do you know about the corporate world. Companies like Godrej can never be “majboor” to hire a person like you who has faked his experience and who is not sure about what he wants in life / career. Their brand-name itself can get 1000's of people dying to join them. Consultants get their commissions after 30-60 days of joining and if the candidate referred by them fails to complete the probation period, then they have to replace the candidate free of charge. In this case, I think the consultant is asking you to choose the one offer so that she can line-up more candidates for the position left by you. She is concerned about her targets and deadlines, as most of us are worried about.
Regarding your idea of 1st working in one company and later shift to another…this is a stupid yet most hilarious idea. I do not how you got that idea.
In the present situation, I think you should be joining the company that is giving you the best offer. Both the companies are equally stringent about reference checks. Hence, if caught then both these companies will treat you in a same manner.
