Good morning
I would like to know that if a salary of anybody is 15000/- then what is the break up of that employee and also tell me how do we do breakup means are there any rules or percentage ..

Hi Sujay,
A sample breakup of Rs. 15000/- gross salary is as hereunder:
Basic : 7500/- (50% of Gross)
HRA : 3000/- (40% of Basic)
Conv : 2250/- (30% of Basic)
Spl Allow : 2250/- Balance

Dear sujay
salary breakup should be done by taking income tax point of view in consideration.
there is no use of giving conveyance for more than 800 rupees per month because it is taxable after rs 800/- HRA should be given 40% in case of non metro cities wchich
can be exampted from tax.
cmmpany can have medical allowance ,LTA etc which can also be exempted from tax
in this case give 10200 basic,4000 HRA.800 conveyance.

Ad hoc Allowance:6860
PF Employer:420

thanks dipali but if I show basic 3500/- so we will have to pay pf but according to salary person is exempt from pf so can we show this break up on roll .thanks malik & anurag for your help.

Dear Sujay, PF is compulsory.Employee has to pay their contribution for pf.and u can’t show this breakup on roll. Regards, Dipali Lakhani

Hi Sujay,
You can bifurate salary in following heads:
Basic - 7500 (50 % of gross)
HRA - 3750 (50% of basic)
Tpt. - 800 (only upto 800 is tax-free)
General / Special allow. - 2950 (balance amount)
