Is top mgt fine with this? check with them first
The policy given by Akanksha seems to cover the necessary requirements

We have offered our male executives the following benefit.
PATERNITY LEAVE AS APPLICABLE (PAT. L):
A male employee with less than two surviving children may be granted Paternity Leave for a period of 2 days before or upto 7 days from the date of delivery of the child. During the period of such leave he shall be paid leave salary equal to the pay drawn immediately before proceeding on leave. Paternity Leave shall not be debited against the leave account and may be combined with other kind of leave as in the case of maternity leave. If paternity leave is not availed within this period, it will be treated as lapsed.
This is a paid leave.

Dear Mr. Negi,
It depends upon the Limited Company whether it is allowing any paternity leaves to the employees of his own or under any agreement with the employee(s). We do not find any labour law allowing any this type of leaves to the workers/employees.
