Dear
Please consult a local lawyer and send a legal notice of demand followed by Labour proceedings on failure of resolution .If he is encashing your cheque he will be in deep trouble.

Hey,
Since i have suffered the same fete, i am aware that companies have a policy that the bonus will be paid out only to the employees who are present in the company as on the day the bonus was paid out. These companies may have a legal standpoint on it..

Dear All,
I am also facing the same problem. I have left the company in the month of April 2008. On Diwali the company declare bonus to all the employees. When I demanded they refused. I have already filed a complaint to the concerned labour office. Even I am planning to sent a legal notice to the management.
