This is swati, working with a newly establish IT company, working on Manpower planning,Can anyone help me in this.
Please let me know few points which i need to consider at the time of planning manpower for company.

hi, swati..........this is tanvi I M MBA fresher and specialization in
hr.according my study If u do manpower planning u shold consider:
*ur anticipated requirement
*internal supply becoz always consider that ur existing employee feel satisfy, security and they feel they are the member of organisation.
*tecnological changes and enviourmental cahanges must consider
*consider the strategy of organisation becoz of it is thinking expanding than will require more manpower otherwise less.
if u like my suggestions that reply must.

I wish to share with u one more information that U R in IT co. and major problem which ur company is facing dat is "rupee value is continously appreciated" so major problem is,"How to retain employees in the organization" becoz U can't pay higher Bonus in this situation, and they can get good opportunities from outside. so when u do manpower planning than consider how to retain them? and the best method is that always show that this is the co. of them rather than employer.
for implementing the manpower planning it should be "bottom_up"
all members of deptt. formulate report about their requirements"
