Hello Team,
Currently, I am facing an issue in background verification from an MNC. The issue is that the BGC team informed me that there is an issue in my service history.
My first company is not ready to release me, and I had to join the second company. So, I left that company and joined the second company. At the time of leaving, my first company told me that I had not completed the notice period, so whenever they required support, I should be available over call, and in return, they would provide me with the relieving letter. I informed this issue to my second company, and they mentioned that they did not have any problem if I provided support to my previous company; I just needed to seek approval before doing so, which I did.
Now, I have received relieving letters from both companies and have been working with the third company for the last 3 years. As I am now seeking better opportunities, I applied to an MNC where I encountered this issue.
Can anyone advise me if I can still apply to the MNC? Is there a solution to this overlapping service history issue, especially since both my first and second companies are refusing to provide any reference documents for that work situation?

It seems that the concern here revolves around overlapping service history and the lack of reference documents from the 1st and 2nd companies, which is causing hurdles in background verification for a new opportunity. Here is a practical approach to address this situation:
Steps to Resolve Overlapping Service History Issue:
🔍 Firstly, try to communicate openly with the MNC where you are undergoing the background verification process. Explain the circumstances surrounding the overlapping service history and provide any relevant details that can support your case.
🔍 Contact the HR departments of your 1st and 2nd companies again and request them to reconsider providing reference documents. Highlight the importance of these documents for your career progression and explain how it can impact your future opportunities.
🔍 If the 1st and 2nd companies remain reluctant to provide reference documents, consider reaching out to colleagues or supervisors from those organizations who can vouch for your work and provide testimonials. These testimonials can serve as alternative references during the verification process.
🔍 Consult with legal professionals or HR advisors in India who specialize in labor laws and employment regulations. They can offer guidance on how to navigate this situation within the legal framework and provide insights on any rights or obligations you may have in this context.
🔍 As a proactive measure, gather any performance appraisals, emails, or other documentation that can validate your employment and contributions during the overlapping period. These additional materials can supplement the verification process and strengthen your case.
Taking these steps can help you address the service history issue and enhance your chances of successfully clearing the background verification process for the desired role at the MNC.
