Please help- if an employee takes leave from Monday to Friday and joins the office on Saturday, then should we deduct his Sunday as LWP or not? If yes then according to which rule?

Hi Sunday should not be marked lwp. Employee was on leave from Monday to Friday only right? So no sandwich leave rule to be applied here.

The concept of sandwich leave policy is general practice followed by Companies and it doesn’t form part of any Statutory Act. Employer and Employee on mutual consent follow this and many Companies mention about this sandwich leave in the employment contract itself. Employer with an aim to improve man hours & production and to avoid many employees availing leave at a same time follow this.
