Hi.
In case of long leave availed by employee say for example 15 days in that case all week off/ any Public holidays fall in between to be considered as leave only and total leave to be deduced from employee's leave credit.

For argument and understanding
Weekly off arises only after working for 6 consecutive days- be it a Factory or a Shop or an Establishment. When an employed person or a workman doesn't work for 6 consecutive days where is the question of granting Weekly Off? Another sub question is.... Do both the Acts mention Weekly Off for Permanent and Non Permanent separately? I consciously mentioned Employed person since it is so in Shops and Establishment Act. Similarly Workman under Factories Act is any one other than a) Apprentice under the 1961 Act, b) Manager as notified by the management/Occupier, c) Welfare Officer as Notified and d) Safety Officer. It doesn't differentiate as Permanent or Non Permanent. Brain storming please
