INVITED AS 'IN ATTENDANCE' TO STAFF APPOINTMENTS / PROMOTIONS COMMITTEE MEETING
I have been invited to Staff Appointments / Promotions Committee meeting as in attendance because a staff in my department will be interviewed for promotion. At the same meeting, some staff from other departments will be interviewed.
In my capacity as an in attendance, can I pose questions to the interviewees other than the interviewee from my department?. I have some questions to pose to the interviewees but I am not sure whether, in the in attendance position, I can pose questions at all?

Dear Syboriba,
Your question is valid. Attending a committee and remaining silent is meaningless. However, you may raise these questions to the person who formed the committee. Otherwise, please check whether anything is written about the duties of a committee member who attends the promotions committee meeting.
Thanks,
