I am currently working (8 months) in a govt sector whose PF is autonomous (no UAN number). I am also doing MTech(regular) along with the job since everything was online due to covid. Now, I have been placed off-campus in MNC and I intend to leave govt sector. I have hidden this govt employment, and if told, then questions will be asked about how come you are doing MTech parallelly with the job since both are full-time. I am being treated like a fresher straight out of college.

My question is, can they track my govt job during background verification (3rd party check)or after I join MNC, or when I file income tax returns?

When you started your career in Government sector and are registered with Govt PF, you should not have hidden the fact of employment with your prospective employer. As MNC they have a fine system of tracking such information. Hence suppression of such information can be a scar to your future employment

Firstly, its very important to note that hiding any past records, activities, employment details etc. can be risky for your hiring prospects. Secondly, with the rapid increase in job opportunities, most companies are resorting to stringent background verification processes, including resume verification. The screening processes pick up all aspects of your past one by one, education, employment, address, court records, etc. There's no way, you can keep your past employment under wraps for long.
