My wife is working with an Indian overseas bank as a branch manager we just got married due to function and other issues she marked unauthorized attendance in the bank with the help of her login credentials. Now she has been caught there is approx 15-20 unauthorized attendance. What could be a punishment from the bank to break the code of conduct? could it lead to termination? Please suggest an answer.

Depends on the Disciplinary authority's view, how mitigating effect, you have violated the service conditions and disciplinary procedures of the Organisation, impact on the day to day functioning of the bank, and also considering co- staff members, reaction / impact on overall discipline, and may or may not considering the extenuating circumstances of newly married!.

And the punishment depends on the above impact / view points and with in the frame work, as prescribed under the service conditions / disciplinary procedures in vogue.

Dear colleague,

Since your wife is occupying leadership position as the Branch Manager of the bank, her misbehaviour may be viewed seriously.

However, bank disciplinary rules will dictate the final punishment, But I don't believe, such aberration on her part warrants termination on stand alone basis as well as the circumstances surrounding her behaviour.

Hope , bank management takes a lenient view and let her off with lesser punishment if and when the misconduct is proved in the domestic enquiry.
