Dear Seniors, My colleague has availed 2 half days and she was not having any left in her account. The salary was deducted for a total of one day.
Will it impact on conveyance also when she has attended the office for half day?
Please advise

That depends on the way your company looks at leave payment.
If they are considering allowances as a part of salary structure or made for continence, then they will proportionately deduct all allowances including conveyance allowance.

It is a small part of your salary, its best not to make too much of a noise about it.

While employee had some and gone so her conveyance cost is the same, most employers will deduct half the amount. In an extreme case, thing if the employee came to work and left after an hour for personal reasons, will the company pay her conveyance allowance for a day?

That is exactly what I said (may be communicated wrong)

If a person comes to office and does not work full time, you need to deduct proportionate salary covering all parts of the salary. Transport allowance or conveyance allowance is not actually linked to how much the employee spends.

When an employee has any leave at his/her credit the question of deduction will not arise. When there is no leave in their credit, automatically respective individuals basic pay and all other allowances get reduced proportionately.
