Dear seniors, I'm working as an Hr manager in a manufacturing company. I need to arrange training for all employees. As I m new to the job don't know how to initiate. We have sales and marketing production quality, store, design. Please let me know the common training for employees.

Dear Jayalatheesh,

We are passing through the COVID-19 pandemic and there is a general reduced economic activity. Because of the reduced economic activity, there is a slump in demand. Because of the demand slump, the only option left with the companies is to reduce the backend cost.

Therefore, whatever training programme that you conduct, whether common to all or specific to the department, please ensure that the goal of the training is to reduce the cost.

Most of the companies borrow the funds from the banks and run their businesses. Against this backdrop, each HOD, which includes HR also, must take ownership for providing ROI on the funds spent. In your case, you are accountable to show ROI on the training programme. The person who conducts the training programme, whether external or internal faculty must know how to measure the ROI and when to measure it.

Earlier, I had given extensive reply on the subject of employee training. You may click the following link to refer to it:

Your query was on the training topic that is applicable to all the employees. However, let me reiterate that my point is conducting the training programme is only a means and not the ends. Those who concentrate on the ends always succeed. You may take note of it.

Thanks,
