Dear Team, Please help me with the below query.
If any employee is tested positive for COVID and he is advised to be under quarantine (home/Institutional) then how are his leaves taken up
Scene 1- His existing leaves are deducted and in case if he has less then 14 days leave then the rest of the leaves go as loss of pay
Scene 2- His existing leaves are deducted however the shortage of the leaves are given exceptions so as to protect his/her salary
Scene 3- The entire Quarantine period (14 days or more till the negative report is obtained) is considered as special leave over and above his existing leaves
Is there any government directive on this may be state-specific or all India basis. Please help.

Recommending your option no.3 for personnel working in Private firms/Partnership firms/proprietary firms with a ruling that affected employee has to surrender a quarantine certificate for regularizing his quarantine leave.
