The hike is normally provided on the CTC, where targeted salary components would be modified accordingly. But then in some cases where there is an agreement with the employee to create a target net take home, attempts can be done by the HR team to calculate the CTC components such that an amount close the net take home is received. But this is see only for extremely critical employees, whom the company fears may exit.
