Is the offer letter a legal contract and can be used for legal proceedings??
Note: The offer letter is accepted and candidate has been released from the current organization. Company is citing the reason of delayed joining is Business situation.

A job offer letter can not be treated as a legal document. It is only a (LoI) letter of indent, offering a position/job to a prospective candidate. But an appointment letter from a company, shall necessarily be considered as a legal document. Have you received Offer of Appointment from the company?

Not yet, as I believe it is received after candidates get onboard. But in this case, joining itself is being delayed.

Any Agreement which meets requirement is essentials of a contract is an agreement and definately gives right to a party to seek relief or any other remedy unless it expressly agreed that it is non binding..I hope this suffice doubts
