My gross salary is Rs.18000. CTC is Rs.20000. PF amount is 2,000
CTC= 18,000+2,000..
In hand I receive only Rs. 16,000.
How to calculate cost to company 20,000 where the PF is deducted from the gross. Company is paying only 18k : 16k in hand and 2 k as pf.
Isn't the calculation method wrong?

Please understand.
CTC is your cost to company it includes everything which company is spending on you.
Gross Salary is your earnings out of which your part of PF is deducted and same amount is paid by the company.
