We have 12 PL, 12 CL and 6 SL for all regular employees and for Trainees we are giving 1 day leave per month. And this leave process based on calender year 01jan to 31 dec. My question is -
Is their any maximum no. of days of PL to forward is next year?
And what is the maximum no. of days to avail CL at a time?
Can any one suggest me good leave policy for IT company.

Dear Seema,
PL =Number of days present in last calender yesr/365*24.Number of PL not consumed in Current Year will be carried forward to next calender year.Here company can fix a maximum limit .for example Maximum Limit 105 Days as balance can be maintained for each employee and if balance is overflowing it can be encashed in january salary or it can have age factor also for example if employee attains age of 50 he can maintain 240 days as balance ,and so on....
CL and SL is fixed by management of company and it depends on policy of the company.
At a time 3 days can be granted as CL.,,it too differs from C2C and P2P

if an employee took 4 days leaves at a time then this CL could convert in PL?
And can you please suggest me leave policy, i have start from new year.
In all rules and regulation, process of all leaves etc is mention.

As far as my knowledge goes, there is no specific rule that how much PL can be carried forward to te next year.....but ya there is limitation for the accumalation of the PL......An employee can accumalate upto 240 days of PL.....
The maximum number of dyas to avail CL at a time depends from company to company's rules and leave policy......
Like in our company an employee can avial 3 days of CL at a time......

SL and CL doesnot have any calculation as such it is mutually agreed upon and given my management by understanding the leave culture in the locality,working atmosphere and the previous years leave consumption in organization.May be past five year or so.

The max carry forward of the PL shld be made as 45 and the Encashment shld me made at the time of separation
And the max leaves at a time that an employee can take is 3 CL ...
If he is taking more than 3 i.e 7 or eight the rest he can take from PL....
and the PL policy shld me based on DOJ .. for every one month that an employee complted he will be given 1 PL ..... so that every think will be fine ....
