Can seniors please elaborate on Sexual Harassment Committee. Is it compulsory to have one? How many members - ie how many ladies , how many gents. How often committee meetings are to be held etc.

Carefully read the Provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) 2013 and the Central Govt Rules framed there under and Gzaetted on 9.12.2013 and 'thereafter properly and faithfully implement the Provisions in Letter and Spirit of the said Act especially its PREAMBLE; and in addition, refer to
i) the Amendment gazetted on 9th May 2016;
ii) Notification dated 7th Nov 2017 Re SHe Box- Online Portal for RegisteringSH Complaints;
iii) Amendement to Companies (Accounts) Rule 2014 gazetted on 31st July 2018 regaringConstitution of Internal Committee in Every Organization/Establishment where Ten and more Workers are Employed ( on Muster-Roll)
Every Employer, byan Order in writing must Constitute Internal Committees under Section-4 of the said Act of 2013, which are Self-Explanatory.
Every Employer in India has to Obey Section-19 Duties of Employer and Report Action-Taken under Section-22 whereas the IC Presiding Officer (always a SeniorWoman Employee) has to File Annual Report before the District Officer under Sectio-21 in the Format Provided in Rule-14 of the Rules framed thereunder.
