Dear Sirs,
We have no regular women employees in my organisation,
Is it POSH act applicable to my Organisation.
Please guide / advice on this matter.
Second Clarification:
If 3 women under contract are working, is it POSH applicable, if yes, we have to constitute a committee

From India, Nizamabad
Yes, all the Provisions of theSexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013 applies to your Employer/Establishment. There is No Exemption, whatsoever; and
Yes, please go ahead Constitute the Internal Committee as prescribed in Sectio-4 OF THE SAID aCT OF 2013 mORE IN OUR ADDEMDUM

From India, Delhi
Yes, it is applicable in both the instances as quoted by you. However, you will face problem in constituting the Internal Committee because it requires at least 2 women members i.e. 1st being the Presiding officer of the Committee and the 2nd as an ordinary member.

Dear Friend,
The POSH act is sqarely applicable where women workmen are in employment.
It does not matter what the number(even number is one) is and whether they are employment on regular or contract basis.

From India, Mumbai
The POSH Act is not clear on this issue. As per the Act minimum two female employees shall be the part of ICC (Internal Complaint Committee), one presiding officer and another normal member, this is mandatory but where there is only one female employee how it can be meeted?
