I am working in govt service and my department is outsourcing labourers on daily basis through contractor. We are taking almost 125 labourers on daily basis. My question is that, during the tender process, the contractor claimed the minimum wages @448/- per day for each labour, hence, the monthly payment of each labour became 11648/-. Further, the contractor mentioned the rate of bonus in price bid was 8.33% of basic which should be 970/-, however he erroneously written it as Rs. 946/-.
Whereas I have come to know that the rate of bonus is 8.33% of ceiling rate i.e. 7000/- @583/- per month and contractor is taking excess amount from govt... Please clarity me whether bonus can be paid 8.33% of basic payment of labourers or it should be 8.33% of 7000/- as I want to save the govt revenue. Please provide me the supporting rules for your each suggestion...
Thank you very much
