As per my opinion, you can use the below list of methods to reduce absenteeism:
* Add more marks for absenteeism in PMS.
* Circulate and explain the leave policy and ask to follow the strict leave policy.
* Add attendance bonuses and reward recognition related to attendance.
* Have personal meetings with employees and ask for the reasons for absenteeism, note down the points, and offer help if possible.
* Share a presentation on how their absenteeism impacts the organization's work and emphasize their importance to the organization even with a single day of absence.
Punishment is not the solution to everything. As HR professionals, we are here in the company to help and resolve problems. Punishment may seem like an easy fix, but it is not always the most effective approach.
