I have a doubt regarding Professional tax calculation. Suppose an employee takes one month leave, then what would be the procedure to calculate PT? Should we treat that month as '0'?

If the leave is without pay and salary calculated for that month is 0 then PT amount will be 0. If leave is paid leave then PT amount will depend on total payable salary. Regards, Manish
