Why do an org need the educational documents of a candidate while joining if he is an experienced candidate & has the experience letters and all other letters from the last org.

Sorry, but this is a silly question. To verify qualifications mentioned by the candidate in the application form. Experience & education are two different things, don’t mix them.

Therefore employer needs to verify-qualifications, experience ,salary drawn etc.
Better to be safe than sorry at a later date.
However employer cannot retain original educational certificates of employees but has all the right to verify authenticity of degrees as mentioned in CV.
