Hi, I want advice, your thoughts on a kind of job I am more eligible for after PhD in HRM in the area of workplace mobbing. I have submitted my thesis on the topic " A study of mobbing amongst teachers in Higher education in and around Pune."
I have discovered themes of the phenomenological interviews of those teachers in Punes Management and engineering institutes ,who were severely exposed to mobbing.Have drawn core them from their experience of being mobbing by applying Phenomenology.I have measured prevalence rate of mobbing in the population and effect of mobbing on teaching faculty being neglectful, cynic at work and relation of mobbing in target leaving work.
I have worked in teaching as Assistant professor for 3 years in Pune's management institute.I have completed (waiting for viva) my 5 year full time PhD from Pune university with the National research fellowship by state Government.
I want to work in suitable role where I can my PhD work and continue getting exposure to people issues ,which I believe is possible with any HR role.
I want to know from industry experienced people ,what kind of profile and organisation ,role will more opportunity to apply my PhD work and give me exposure for continuing my work in the area of workplace mobbing.
I want to develop myself as a Corporate trainer, OD consultant ,Writer of the international standard.I want to start with a job for now.

Doing PhD is ok and is of academic value only in Educational Institutions. It will not cut ice in Corporate organisations. It has no value at all. Corporates expect candidates / prospective employees to be more practical, down to earth, having exposure in handling people, not books, think on the feet, finding solutions for vexing problems, understand business, be a business partner, look through the eyes of the management and be a contributor for increasing productivity and profitability through recruitment of right kind of employees to suit / meet the organisational requirement.
Have you got any of these ? Please tell !
Best wishes
