What should be the policy for background verification in case of rehire?
We have got a rehire joining us after 10 months, however there was no employment in between. We already have the verification done for education, address, previous employments during the first time joining. Should we get the criminal/ court checks done again?
If yes, why, if no, why not?

Verification has no legal sanction. If you wish to do verification its purely management call & no one can stop you from doing this.
