Confirmation or probation are internal matters of organization PF however is fund by govt. Every employee who has basic less than 15000/- in the company having 20+ employees needs to be covered under PF.

Dear Mr Chopra,
The EPF&MP Act recognise the status of employee only. The Act has not given any weight age to the employment status of the employee whether it is casual,probation or permanent/confirmed. In every case PF is supposed to be contributed by both employer & employee subject to coverage.
