Hello Friends,
Warm greetings to all. My name is Jagdish Kumar, and I am a freelance trainer. I have been doing this for the past four years. I have conducted training on topics such as sales, customer service, business etiquette, corporate culture, and many more for small and medium organizations, as well as CDP programs for management and engineering students.
For the first time, I have received an opportunity from a group of schools to train primary students (i.e., class 6th to 10th), and I am a bit confused about what modules I can cover. I have selected a few modules like Communication Skills, Time and Stress Management, Empathy & Sympathy, Rapport Building, Positive Attitude, Assertive Behavior, Team Building, and Formal Etiquette. I need help from you, my friends, to suggest what kind of topics I can cover under these modules. If you have any suggestions or know where I can get good views and inputs, please help me out. I am looking forward to suggestions and support. You can reach me at my email address jagdishkumar.sep20@gmail.com.
Thank you.

Dear Jagdish,
You are taking on a really challenging task. With all your topics encompassing such complex jargon and management concepts, it's very difficult for young children to understand initially. To begin, you should have a good grasp of the basic age-related psychology of these children and what they are capable of learning. I recommend consulting the teachers who work with these classes and children, as they are better equipped to advise you.
Furthermore, children often struggle to comprehend your theories on these subjects. Would it be possible for you to create teaching tools that align with your concepts? At this age, children can grasp things more easily through simulated explanations, audio-visual presentations (rather than theoretical ones), robotics, rhymes, skits, and films that relate to the concepts. There are some companies that use robotics to teach children, which you could consider exploring. Perhaps children from 8th to 10th grade can grasp these concepts, whereas it may be more challenging for those in 6th and 7th grade. I am not trying to be negative, but simply sharing my thoughts on this matter. There are experts in the field who can contribute and assist our team members with their ideas.
Best regards,

As Kumar has said, "challenging".
Teaching children is totally different from training adults. It requires a completely different mindset. If you are not a trained primary or secondary school teacher, then this is going to be difficult.
I am curious to know firstly, why these schools are looking outside, and secondly, why they are not engaging trained teachers well versed in dealing with children. Some of the topics you have mentioned may be way above what children of this age can understand.
If you are to proceed with this project, then working cooperatively with the class teachers is a must, as they know the children best and can advise on the best approach to take.
Please revisit this thread later to tell us what happened, how you went about it, and what the results were.

You have a golden opportunity to explore your training skills. All the best.
As I have been working as a teacher and training students on writing skills until now, it is quite interesting to work with children. Please focus mainly on time management and the quality management of time. Help them understand how to keep their spirits high, manage stress, the importance of playing in the ground, and maintaining healthy relationships between classmates. Teach them the value of good language and manners.
