PFA copy of TN Gazette dated 26th Oct '16 which is self-explanatory. As per the proposed Gazette notification for General Engineering and Fabrication Industry, MW for the unskilled worker in Dist HQ, Corporation and Municipalities will be Rs 10,786.60 pm or Rs 415 /- per day once approved by the TN Govt after two months (as per the current CPI points). With the huge increase (app Rs 2400 pm) in MW, addl cost towards PF / ESI contribution, Bonus, Gratuity etc., will also to be considered. For advance information please.

In the last three years TN Govt has been increasing minimum wages by 22% whenever they are revised. This is standard percentage they have used for all industries. Just check whether they have applied 22% or more. If it is more than 22% then a representation can be made

CPI points are awaited for Karnataka, AP and Telangana and we shall send the revised MW payable for those States on receipt of CPI points from the Labour Commissioner.
Revision of MW for General Engg & Fabrication Industry is due in Tamil Nadu and the Gazette Notification is expected soon.
