Hi HRs,
I was been in a company for 2+ years, then I join current company 1.5 years back. When I was in the process to transfer funds of my PF account, I came to know that, in previous company there was a spelling mistake in my first name. And as my previous company didn't even give me my remaining payment and the relieving letter, I don't think they help me out in this case.
So I wanted to know, will there be any problem for transferring the funds from last to current PF account, if there is difference in the spelling? If yes, what is the process to solve in my scenario?
My name in last PF Account was "Abhijit".
My name in current PF Account is "Abhijeet".
Kindly suggest what I can do for the smooth transfer process?
Thanks in advance,
Abhijeet

seed your old UAN with current employer, it will get auto corrected after seeding and KYC compliance, at the time of seeding by present employer, the EPFO portal ask to confirm that abhijit and abhijeet is same person, and present employer has to confirm the same,
once the UAN is seeded, ask your present employer to upload and approve the KYC ( aadhar/ Bank/ Pan) and then apply for transfer, \
as both the accounts get belong to same UAN, name spelling mistake does not bar the EPFO to raise dispute

Dear Abhijeet,
This is one of the most common problem in provident fund. Thus pf department has given a circular on this issue.
Firstly, you need your employer signature in pf name rectification form. Hence this process cannot be done alone by you.
Secondly, The below attached form should be filled and signed by you along with employer signature & company seal.
Say if employer does not cooperate, then you can place a complaint with your concerned pf enforcement officer. Bu generally the employers cooprate in this regard.

Dear Labour Law Index,
I appreciate what information you have shared, but can it be done from my current employer or without the help of last employer or directly from PF office?
Please do guide me, as I know for sure that last employer will not be willing to do anything for me.

if bank details and Pan?aadhar is verified in previous EPFO uan then it will auto click, provided the employee provide the print copy of kyc seeded in their UAN to present employer ( pending attestation does not work) after confirming the kyc details, if it match with EPFO, then form 13 is auto clicked and transfer execute in 3 weeks
however if kyc is not seeded, then the employee can do it with this site One Employee One PF
