Hi Raj,
Probation period is given only for a better judgement of performance of the employee. You cannot judge any candidate, 100% about their performance in any mode of interview. Check what all are the/is there any benefits which you will miss while working in probation period? Again you cannot request them to change the duration of their probation period. If you believe in you, then why worrying. Good luck!

Dear Raj Kumar,
As a new employee, the company wants to assess your capabilities or performance as Senior System Engineer, which is the reasons for appointing you on probation for one year.It will be incorrect to ask the company to reduce probation period before joining, rather you join and prove your capabilities and proficiencies on the job for which you have been appointed. It is also possible that the company may suo-motto reduce the probation period seeing your performance and interest in the job.

Probation period is defined under state specific model standing orders rules, in Maharashtra it is 3 months. In no state there is probation period of one year.
You may mildly ask them to reduce the probation period to 6 months, no harm in trying that. If the company refuses to reduce the period, it will be your call as to how to proceed further.
