Professional Couriers has appointed various franchise agents at different locations. Agent had taken the plea that he is not covered under PF since the number of their employees was leas than 20. Kerala High Court however held that Professional Couriers was the employer and employees of agents were also paid indirectly by Professional Couriers and hence covered under PF Act:
