Hi all,
I need some real help here.
I have resigned my job due to personal issue where employer asked to serve notice period but I requested and got the waiver for the same.
I have got relieving letter from my employer accepting my resignation.
However exit type marked as Involuntary.
Will this exit type cause issue in my background verification when I apply for new job??.
Please someone respond , I am so wooried.

You need to speak to your former employer and ask them why they have put involuntary. That is generally put if you have been terminated or retrenched. Both cases is bad when trying for a job.
You need to speak to HR in your previous company and see you can get it changed.
Also keep all details connected with the resignation, including your request for waiver and their approval of early relieving.

Hi Saswant sir,
Thank you for your response. My relieving letter says "Thank you for your decision and we accept your resignation" and given with my joining date, resignation date. There is no where mentioned anywhere in the letter as Involuntary.
Where as i noticed in full and final statement where it was listed with my employee I'd and there mentioned exit type as involuntary.
So to future employer I will be showing my relieving letter, not the calculation sheet.
So does the background verification will reveal this exit type !! And cause issue?.

Generally, background checks follow a format, which includes details of the employee, period of work, nature of employment, reason for leaving and any remarks that the employer would like to put in.
Most companies would not put anything other than confirm employment.
But if it is in internal records and someone has a grouse against you, it can be a problem
Go and meet the HR head of the previous company and discuss with him why their internal records show your relieving as involuntary. If possible, get it corrected. But it is unlikely to cause a problem as such.
