Tax On Excess Salary


Company paid excess salary and while recovery of the same they want me to pay tax. Your advice on this please?

Was the payment within same financial year? Otherwise learned member Pon1965 has given a guideline on what to do.

If the excess deduction was in previous FY, then you should get refund after the Return filing only.
