I have pursued my PGDM in Marketing and HR. I joined as business development officer in a logistics organisation. After working for an year I switched in media as ad sales executive. Currently I am working with a reputed organisation in ad sales. I have switched 3 jobs in less than 3 years. Sales was not the career option I was looking for from the beginning, but now it seems I am dragged deeper into sales.

My area of interest has always been into hardcore marketing eg branding, advertising, planning but it seems to be difficult to get into these profiles. As I have done my PGDM in HR as my secondary specialisation hence was thinking in the lines of applying for a HR job which is also my field of interest.

What should be my move as I do not want to be in sales for long and is not my area of interest.

It is perfectly ok to switch jobs and still have passion for something else.
If you are really interested in branding and advertising then start looking out for a job in that field. See if you can work as an intern in some organization and gain the necessary experience. There are lot of short term courses in branding and advertising. There are some online courses too. See if you can gain more skills in the field of your choice.
Don’t jump to HR if you are more passionate about branding and advertising. I was an Engineer but I changed my line from Engineering to Training and I have very happy about it. I am sure if you actively look out for what you want, you will get it. All the best!
