1.Sir, you may send a request to the appropriate Regional/Sub Regional Office of ESIC having jurisdiction in your area to intimate in writing whether your unit/factory falls in the implemented area. If so, you can request for inspection of same with a view to examine coverage of same in ESI Act, 1948 and rule/regulations framed thereunder.

2. In case, the appropriate office informs you that the area where your unit/factory is located is not situated in any of the implemented areas, then you can request the said office to examine extension of coverage of said Act in your area. This action can take a long time because the said department will examine the position of total employees to be covered in said area and the medical arrangements to be made. You can also send the requests to ESIC Hqrs. Office.

3. However, nothing can be done if the said department intimates you after examining the position that the area cannot be covered under said Act because under said Act the suitability of providing medical arrangements within reasonable distance to insured persons and their family members is must. In such situation, you can insure your employees under cover of insurance viz. workmen's insurance etc. as may be offered by the private insurance companies.

In that case, go for workmen compensation policy as per your requirement. Most of the public & private Insurance companies provide Insurance cover for this.
