Dear Friends,
I need your help, we have Diwali Competition and the winners consist of a team of around 40 members and the total budget is Rs 500. Last time when we had such an event we had given a trophy, but this time we have thought we have to give something useful for all of them ie may be like 500/40. So i need your suggestions on what kind of gifts can be given in such a case. Waiting for replies........................... :? :? :?

Hi,
You mean to say you need to divide Rs. 500 amongst 40 winners... That sounds difficult...
Well in that case you can opt for some certificates, or key chains or some desktop item. You can even choose some congratulations cards prepared by CRY or some other NGOs by this you can even relate this to a noble cause...As the amount is too low, you have very less options to choose from...
May be others can help you in a better way..

Appartenly Amith is my new friend from Cite HR. His posting always make sense to me so that i have added him on my gtalk. Today when we were chating about something, he wrote to me "Hey checkout my new post" and i was very enthu to see his new posting !!
But when I read this one, i was like "is he gone mad, did he ever calculated 500/40, is how much??? !!!!" and i cant stop my big laugh. hhehehhe... I thought this great man, need a big appreciation for this post. And I dont mind writting this, I mean when you are gaining points for it.. :P
"Its kind of annoucing pubically that your company is broke!!" I thought in my mind. and then I wished that all 40 emoployeee should read this mega diwali surprsie posting. and how exciting it can be, one of them commenting on this post.
And then I read the reply from someone on this. great Idea....
Well my advice to you, please increase a amount to the decent figure u can get after /40. And I hope, their efforts must deserve more then some 12 point something.

Hi Hetal,
Thanks a lot for your cute reply. Will as you have mentioned it is a small amount and i do have a option of talking to my management and increase the budget, which i want to do after getting few ideas from my Cite HR friends. Let me also tell you we have some other competition also during Diwali and i can easily manage the budget.
But coming to an idea of doing it 500/40 let me tell you i want to do it in the interest of employees who should not feel gift is something that they have kept in office and not for their use. I hope you have got my point.
Will i am not here to let my company down, instead i am looking forward to protect the interest of employees.

Hi Amith,
You can try some beautiful key chains, small Chinese wallets (Rs.10 each), some stationery items, a small notepad, small telephone diary, artificial flowers, torch, chocolate's, Fancy Pen set....
Like wise there are many such things which you can buy at 10 - 12 rupees, but for that someone from your end has to go a local market and check what is really available at that price...
