my boss never gave me an appointment letter,and i would like to quit the job.
do i have to give the 2 weeks inform before i leave or i could just leave without giving any notice
if i leave can they take any action against me
if they could what would happen?

as per your note your boss has not given appointment letter , Only you or no one has given letter?
Have you got offer letter or pay slip from the company?
secondly don't leave the job immediately first find the good job take all letter before joining then leave the job
but before leaving ask them the exact reason not giving of letter
