To seniors,
A retired/ex-employee continues to be outlet manager but on retainership basis. All his dues are cleared which he was entitled on retirement. Signed contract of retainership and in the contract letter he is being designated as OUTLET MANAGER. He shall be responsible for recruiting staff for his assistance and train them to achieve the sales. the contract is signed by company with retainer for a period of 1 year. his role is to manage the outlet and report every business development to management,He is paid fees along with fix conveyance allowance.
Does he come under the purview of provident fund Act? If yes, whether contributes on only Funds or also pension ?
Please advice.
Thanks

Not necessarily, but company can deposit PF contribution,if they so desire.
Pension from company is a different issue.
