I would like to know Salary range/Pay Package for IT professionals within India.
Can somebody have any S/w Skills, years wise salary structure / Table?
Anyone have / knows any info abut IT / ITES industry salary range/Pay Package.

Hi Rajendra,
The Salary range if IT professionals is based on the core skills/ technologies they are specialized in.
Also their are few other parameters like Qualification, Extra Certifications from International certifying bodies, domain knowledge.
But in general, for s/w professionals in web technologies like M/s, Java etc. the compensation is evaluated by multiplying their years of exp with .9 to 1L pa.
Still I would suggest not to use it as a perfect calculator.

Project based companies pay packets are generally lesser than product based companies ...again coz of domain expertise in product based !
There are no fixed parameters as such , but it depends certainly on one aspect i.e the technology !

As already told by Anshul and Shalini the salary ranges between 0.90 to 3 lacs for a fresher to 2yrs exp candidate, this again depends on the locations, taking the locations and other factors such as cost of living, area, qualification, experience etc into consideration the salary is decided.

I guess, i would like to share some of my ideas regarding the salary package offered in the IT Industry commonly.
It is definitely based on the qualification and the technical expertise. A person possessing a very sought after educational background (IITs/ RECs etc.) tends to get a better starting pay than the other fresher.
However, engineers are anytime given a better leverage than the graduates from CS background.
So these are a few things that one has to keep in mind while offering them a competitive pay package.
Generally, it starts from 1.25 lac p.a. for a fresher BE and moves on with the multiple of years of relevant experience.....note that experience being relevant is preferred before offers are rolled out.
However, this is a general practice which may go here and there based on the level of competence as the individual grows in the industry

Example: If the company has 75 employees they pay the level of 5 yrs experience: 5.5 to 6 lack PA
If the company has more than 150 employees they pay the level of 5 yrs
experience: 6 to 8 lack PA
More than 300 employees they pay the level of 6 yrs experience: 8 to 12 lacks PA
This market rate is in Bangalore & Pune.
