Hi Everyone,
One of our ex-employees defaulted his loan multiple payment and we keep getting calls from different banks and finance companies to know whereabouts of the employee. We told them so many times that the person does not work here but they keep calling from different numbers.
The language they use is very rude too. We are fedup of their calls and really don't know what to do next.
Anyone who have faced the same problem? Or anyone has ideas / suggestions?
Thanks
Ravi

Instal a caller id facility on your telephone.
Tell any caller who enquiries that MRX is no longer an employee and we have no connection with him anymore.
If calls persist write a letter to the concerned bank and ask them to stop telephonic harassment.

you can register a police complaint against them also who are calling and abusing you. share the details of ex employee, the name of finance companies and recovery numbers they are calling from you.

Hello Ravi,
The next time you get such a call, just inform your reception or whoever takes the call to inform the caller that you will be making a Police Complaint giving the number from which you got the call [hope you have CLI facility].
Another way--ask the caller politely to come to the office personally as you don't want to discuss this over phone. Once the caller(s) come, confirm his/her official ID, take a photocopy of it & tell him/her bluntly that you have called the Police & he/she should wait until they come.
This has worked for me earlier in a different context [didn't even have to actually inform the Police].
I guess that will be the last you will hear from them.
All the Best.

Call the bank and if you have details of employees like account number etc., and have them update this in their records that he is no longer available at your firm.

The same has been happend with us in past. I was getting the calls on a daily basis from different banks and finance companies. I told the same thing to everyone over the calls. It went for couple of months. Few banks people came as well. But again I told the same thing that "He is Absconding, we don't have any information about him".
After few months it got finished.
Now we don't receive any calls regarding to him.
You need to be handle them very politely.

Dear Ravi,
Please confirm whether your company has given any undertaking to remit that ex-employee's salary to that bank and /or agreed to inform to the bank when that employee is submiting resignation. If such undertaking is available, you will be in trouble. Otherwise go for legal actions.
Thanks.

Hello,
We have not signed any undertaking like that.
Also, the update on this. The calls have stopped. I guess, the ex-employee must have paid all the dues or they must have realized that he does not work here anymore.
Thanks everyone for the help again.
