Hi All,
How can I check the attitude and motivation skills of a candidate during his interview (HR Round) ?? I want some specific format or procedure so that my shortlisting process becomes much easier.

Dear Swati,

To understand the attitude, you master "Behavioural Interviewing" techniques. When you use this technique, you will know more than just attitude. However, to acquire this skills, you need to take formal training. Web resources are not sufficient to master it. During the training, a role play is conducted on the interviews. After the role play, faculty gives feedback. This feedback improves one's skills.

Secondly, "motivation" is a state of mind and it is not a skill as such. Therefore, I request you to correct your fundamentals first. If you do not know the basic definitions then can you consider qualified to conduct job candidate's interview?

Interviewer may conduct interview of a job candidate but during the process he/she acts as a representative and promotes the image of the company. Promoting wrong image is always risky as talented candidate my turn down job offer in case if he/she suspects calibre of the job interviewer! Participants during the training on "Behavioural Interviewing" have told me such stories.
