This get together is a good idea.
Bring together old employees and current employees.
The retired lot should be given lot of importance as their word of mouth and goodwill helps in recruiting new employees.
The current employees will also feel good seeing the good treatment you are giving retired lot and will inspire them to work better.
Give them a small memento and senior most retired employee should be given chance to address the retired employees.
Company culture also gets transmitted by such gatherings.
Make it light and friendly evening with suitable games and full opportunity for guests to mix around.

Thank you Nathrao for your valuable suggestion. i discuss the matter with GM and we have a confusion that through their interaction our current employees will get the reference to another company in the industry which lead to attrition. Have any chance like that ?

If a employee is looking for different avenues or change of job,he will find out ways.
This healthy interaction where in all employees mix around with ex employees and old employees will be a good thing to develop healthy relations and wider perspective.
The danger of getting reference always eixsts, but this get together will not be the only way.
Dont hesitate have gatherings but equally give a good atmosphere to employees to learn and grow in your company.
That will only reduce attrition.
