Dear Seniors,
What all registers do we need maintain under different act for a medical devices company & for a company which is in restaurant business
Both companies are owned by same director and I am managing HR for both
As of now I am maintaining
1. Salary Sheets in soft copy
2. Attendance Sheets in soft copy
3. Register for Fines, Deductions, Advances, Overtime & Accident
For ESI & PF, all information is online, just maintaining the challans for records.. I am not filing any returns as well.
Please advice if I am wrong somewhere

We need not to submit any return (Yearly/Half Yearly) under EPF & ESIC Act.
but as you already maintain Legal register, (Wages Register, Fine, Deduction, Over Time, & Accident) just start to maintain Form-C under Payment of Bonus 1965, and Form-14, Form- 9, Form-12 under The Factory Act 1948, and inspection register under EPF, ESIC, Factory Act.

have you sought permission from respective department to maintain records online? except esic and EPF.
while they come for inspection, you will be forced to take printout of all registers and show it. can you do that while making them to wait?
best is to take a print out of the registers and file it. bind it every year and keep it.
go through your state's shops and establishment act and maintain the registers according to that.
