What are benifit an esi to aworker ?Brief some query about Insurance & ESI. some workers are covered only insurance.they are not insurance please elaborate how they should get benifit .

ESI Cooperation is to provide Free Medical benefits for self and dependents in case of emergency. Apart from it, the employees also get their salary reimbursed for period of days absent from work and hospitalized in the hospital referred to them by ESIC registered Doctors in their areas. Female employees also get maternity benefits from the hospitals and get 84 days reimbursed for Maternity leave taken. Also, 70% of the hospital bills is been reimbursed, in case treatment in private hospital during emergencies. ESIC is also in process for getting the treatment of employees done anywhere irrespective of their place of residence/work.
