Dear Members,
Would like to know the best way to cover an outdoor employee (employee Continuously on client visits) and how he needs to be compensated if any accident or injury happens while travelling through his own vehicle or public transport on duty hours.
Any accidental insurance policies for such employees? Kindly suggest.
Regards,

Pl consider taking WC policy available with all Insurance Companies. The Policy will take care of all the liabilities from the employees towards any claim relating to employment injury including death.

Ms Leena,
If such employes are coverable under the provisions of ESIC Act and maintained all reasonable record to substaintiate that the employee was on Company duty on out door, in the eventuality ESIC provisions will take care of all the liabilities towards calim relating to employement injury including death.
In case, the employee is not a coverable employee under the ESIC provisions, you have to take Employee Compensation Policy available with the Insurance Company and in case of death of employee or loss of earning capacity due to bodily injury can be compensated through the authority i.e. Employee Compensation Commissioner appointed under that Act.
Personal Accident Policy or wrong coverage under the above two Acts will not release the statutory liability of the Employer in case of any untoward incidnet occured to an employee while on duty.
