Hello all,
I have a query that how to handle ESIC contribution in case a person is doing two jobs and ESIC is applicable at both places. Can we have two contributions on one ESIC Number? Kindly assist me with this if anyone has worked with such situation. Awaiting response.

A person can not have employement at two places symulteniously .
Also ESIC is a unique number issued for the Member ,hence an employee can not have two different ESIC code.
Referring to your case, ESIC has to be considered for only one Establishment.

Sir(s),
1. Such like situations as mentioned by the initiator of this thread are very rare in employment.
2. However, in my opinion, action can be taken under Regulation 38 (Scheme by Joint employers) and also under Regulation 36 (Employment for part of a wage period) of the ESI (General) Regulations, 1952. Kindly also see Regulation 39 of the said Regulations.
