One of my colleagues retired after attaining 60 years of age. he was having 9 years of service. He is not yet given the withdrawal benefit. part of EPF subscription also is held up. Reason for is not clear. It is said contribution should not have been collected after 58 years of age. In this case, what can we - the retired employee and the employer- do to get the held up benefit from EPFO.
An early advice is requested.

Pension contribution is only applicable up to the completion of 58 years. However, by mistake if it is remitted to pension fund, it will be reverted to PF account. You may contact the Regional PF commissioner to get diverted the pension contribution to PF as well for the withdrawal benefit for the period of 7 years in Pension fund.
