Allotment of Universal Account Number (UAN) to every contributing member by EPFO.
To switch job along with retaining the same PF account has been made easier by the PF Department. Earlier after changing the job, it was a lengthy process to transfer the PF Account from one employer to another, leading to withdrawal of PF amount, which was not letting the fund to accumulate. Considering this fact PF department is allotting an UAN to all participative employees, which will remain the same for an individual while being into the service.
Under the observation of Regional PF Commissioners, RC (I),(II),Asst. PF Comms. & all Officers there was a facilitation session at PF office for explaining the process of uploading new allotted UAN along with the KYC details of individual employees. This was a new learning & of course a good one.

Mr. Majumdar,
First log in to Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP) for Employers platform. Here you will get an option to download under UAN & there is a list of employees along with their name & UAN. Please copy it to an spread sheet (Excel) & prepare the sheet containing nature of document, their No., ie if Bank account, then A/C No. & IFSC code or the PAN. After filling all the details we need to upload the same with conversion of excel sheet to note pad.

Hi,
As per rule, if you are switching Job, you have to carry forward your existing PF account along with your UAN Number. Though you can withdraw your PF, Since now things are online & once your detail will be entered into the system, it will reflect your previous detail, where your declaration that this is your new Job might get traced.
